The mission of Boone County Arboretum is to “enrich the quality of life by providing a scenic outdoor classroom for appreciation and study of plants and preservation of the natural environment”.

Arboretum Day is our highlight event of the year. It is a great chance for you to learn more about your own environment and improve your knowledge of home landscape design.

There will be guided tours of the Arboretum. Adults can listen to presentations from local experts and meet personally with the many exhibitors explaining their services or selling their goods.

Landscape designers will be available to give tips on beautifying your yard. Gardening and tree questions can be answered by local Master Gardeners and tree experts. Kids can explore the Children’s
Garden, plant some seeds to take home and more. The whole family can gather together for fun and games at the Boone County Parks and Recreation Department Family Fun Tent.

Food will be available for purchase, and the Rabbit Hash String Band will be playing from 11:30 – 1:00.

So come experience nature in the beautiful setting of Boone County Arboretum!
