Helping Hands: Garden with Us at the Arboretum
Date / Time
Tuesday, 05/05/2026; 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Summary
Join us Tuesday mornings to garden alongside staff, meet great people, and help keep the Arboretum beautiful with no experience needed.
Full Description
Spend your Tuesday morning outdoors, meet great people, and help keep the Arboretum looking its best. From April through October, volunteers work alongside staff on relaxed, hands-on projects like planting flowers, light pruning, mulching, and general garden care. No experience needed… just a willingness to jump in and enjoy the morning.
We’ll have tools ready for you, and you’re welcome to bring gloves, a kneeling pad, and sun protection if you’d like. We typically work through light passing showers but will cancel for steady rain.
Most days wrap up with an optional group lunch around 11:30, making this as much a social outing as a volunteer opportunity.
Meet at the first parking lot on the left by the flagpole, then head to the day’s project site together.
Come once or come every week, we’d love to have you. Please register in advance so we can plan projects and materials for the group.
