Full Description

No garden is complete without an array of winter hardy, long-lived perennial flowers, ornamental grasses, and foliage plants. Join one of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanic Garden’s Horticulturists, Ed Atkinson, to learn how to care for your perennial garden plants like a pro! We’ll discuss a little bit of everything, from selection and planting to year round care and problem solving.

Ed Atkinson leads the garden maintenance team at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanic Garden where he manages the ongoing and ever-changing care of the Zoo’s gardens – everything from animal habitats to parking lots! When he’s not carving his way through the Zoo’s bamboo forests or chasing ravenous squirrels out of tulip displays, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his friends, family and canine companions.
