Helping Hands Volunteer Opportunity
Date / Time
Tuesday, 04/08/2025; 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Summary
Spend the morning surrounded by nature's beauty while contributing to the Arboretum's vibrancy.
Full Description
Join us and help enhance the beauty of the Arboretum together, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, April through October.
What to expect:
Volunteers are invited to assist with seasonal projects such as planting, light pruning, and garden maintenance. Occasionally tasks will include plant label assembly or off-site plant collection trips. Lunch is usually provided at 11:30 if there is interest among the group that day.
How to prepare:
- Check the weather and dress appropriately for the expected outdoor conditions - we usually won't stop for light passing showers but will cancel for steady rain.
- We recommend bringing a kneeling pad, gloves, and sun protection.
- Tools are provided; if you opt to bring your own hand tools be sure your name is on them.
Where to meet:
As you enter the Arboretum driveway, look for the flagpole and first parking lot on the left. We will meet there, then head to the day’s project site as a group.
Whether you’re looking to give back or learn something new, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and your community. Let’s grow the Arboretum together!
