Mature Size, Growth, Longevity
Average mature size of 20-30' tall with a similar or somewhat greater width in cultivation, possibly to 40-50' tall in wild.
Flower and Fruit Details
Flowers are purplish-red, 0.5" diameter, in April before the leaves, on long-stalked nodding corymbs. Fruits are winged samaras, 1" long, wing angle ranges from horizontal to angled.
Leaf and Bark Features
Fall color ranges from rich yellow to crimson. Bark on current season's growth is slender, glabrous, reddish green, angled, slightly bloomy, smooth. Older stems become brown, lightly fissured.
Culture and Care
Plant in partial shade with medium moisture.
