Acer tataricum subsp. ginnala // Amur Maple
Tree. Grows to 18' tall and wide, medium growth rate. Native to Central-northern China, Manchuria, Japan. Yellowish-white flowers, fragrant. Fruits are samaras, 0.75-1" long, Yellow-red fall color. Smooth bark with darker striations. One of the hardiest maples, adaptable to virtually any soil and pH, does well in shade. Relatively free of serious diseases.
