Aesculus x arnoldiana 'Autumn Splendor' // Autumn Splendor Arnold's Buckeye
Tree. Grows to 35' tall and 25-30' wide. Yellowish-red flowers borne in 6" panicles, at the end of branches. Fruits are yellow-brown, thickly husked capsules containing one or two shiny brown seeds. Compound leaves, arranged opposite, glossy dark green, resistant to leaf-scorch. Brilliant maroon-red fall color. Grow in sun to partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil. No serious pests have been noted. Hybrid of Aesculus flava x A. pavia.
