Flower and Fruit Details
Flowers are in flat spikes, 0.75-1." long, green in summer maturing to copper, persistent into winter as a celadon gray.

Copper fall color.
Culture and Care
Adaptable to varying soil and light conditions. Grows best in deep, rich soil with plenty of moisture in part shade. Appears dark green in shade, a light green-yellow in full sun. Divide in spring. Zones 5-9. No known pests or problems.

Flat wheat-like seed heads are stunning in dry arrangements. The showiest of woodland grasses. Bamboo like foliage.
