Alder Buckthorn, Glossy Buckthorn
A large, non-showy shrub or small deciduous tree with invasive tendencies as birds spread the purplish fruits.

Carolina Buckthorn
An alkaline soil-tolerant, large shrub or small deciduous tree w/ showy red to black summer/fall fruits.
