Average mature size of 75-100' tall and 35-50' wide. Medium to fast growth rate. Lives 125-175 yrs.
Flower and Fruit Details
Flowers are yellow-green, large, single, cup-shaped, 2-3". Fruits are upright clusters of tan-brown, woody, winged samaras.
Leaf and Bark Features
Clear lemon yellow fall color. Bark is gray, shallow furrowed.
Culture and Care
Best in moderately well-drained, slightly acid soils, (pH 6.1-6.5). Infrequent problems with cankers, powdery mildew, Verticillium wilt, Scale, Tuliptree spot gall, aphids.
