Average mature size of 15-20' tall and wide.
Flower and Fruit Details
Flower buds deep pink to red, opening to white blooms, fragrant, 1-1.5" diameter. Fruits are yellow and red, 0.375" diameter, usually not persistent.
Leaf and Bark Features
Bark is shiny gray-brown, scaly on older trunks.
Culture and Care
Best in a heavy loam, well-drained, moist, and acid soil, but quite adaptable. Plant in full sun for best flowers and fruits. Pruning, if it is needed, should be done before early June. Slightly susceptible to scab and powdery mildew, moderatly susceptible to fireblight, excellent resistance to Japanese beetle.
