  • Prunus x 'Blireana' // Blireana Purple-leaf Plum
    Tree. Grows to 20' tall and wide, a rounded, dense branching tree. Fast growth rate. 20 year longevity. Pink flowers, 10-15 petals with undulating edges, pleasantly fragrant, 1-1.25" diameter, in March-April before the leaves. Purplish-red fruit that lost in the foliage. Leaves initially reddish-purple, fading to green. Prefers acidic, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Zones 5-7. Use as a specimen tree in small gardens or in a patio planting. A hybrid between a cherry plum and Japanese apricot. Put into commerce in 1906 by Lemoine.

  • Prunus x 'Okame' // Okame Cherry
    Tree. Grows to 15-25' tall and 20' wide, a broad columnar tree becoming rounded with age. Moderate growth rate. Showy, deep pink, single flowers with red flower parts, in the spring before the tree leafs out. Fruits are not commonly seen. Oval leaves are alternately arranged, dark green, 1-2.5" long. Fall color ranges from copper to orange and yellow. Showy reddish-bronze bark with prominent horizontal lenticels. Prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil, but is adaptable. Moderately drought tolerant. Full sun to part shade. Propagation by cuttings. Zones 3-7. Better adapted to Zone 6+ than other cherries. Susceptible to canker worm. Use as a garden specimen, in a buffer strip, or as a container or patio plant.

  • Prunus x 'Snow Fountain' // Snow Fountains Cherry
    Tree. Grows to 6-12' tall and wide, semi-weeping. Fast growing as a young tree. Snow white flowers, semi-double, fragrant, appearing on naked stems in May, opening sequentially. May produce a few black fruits. Simple oval leaves, alternately arranged, dark green, double serrate, 2.5" long, 1.5-2.5" wide. Fall color of gold and orange hues. Gray-white bark, exfoliating, mottled. Prefers acidic soil in full sun to part shade. Soil and moisture adaptable. Zones 5-8. Susceptible to Japanese beetle, tent caterpillar, borer. Use as a specimen, in borders, or as a patio plant.
