Syringa pubescens subsp. patula 'Miss Kim' // Miss Kim Manchurian Lilac
Shrub. Grows to 3' tall and wide. Vigorous grower. Flowers in 3" long clusters, purple buds open to icy blue flowers, late May to early June, fragrant. Fall color can be a good yellow, but not always reliable. Prefers slightly acidic soil in sun to partial shade. Zones 4-7. Species native to Northern China, Korea, cultivated in 1902. Good for use in borders.
