Viburnum dilatatum 'Erie' // Erie Linden Viburnum
Shrub. Grows to 6' tall and 10' wide. Slow to medium growth rate. White flowers, 0.25" diameter, May-early June, borne in pubescent, flat-topped, cymes, 4-6" diameter. Best in even-moisture, slightly acid soils, full sun to partial shade. Fruits are drupes, 0.33" long, ovoid, bright red, cherry red or scarlet, Sept-Oct, Fruits often persist into December, though the color fades with time. Yellow, orange, or red fall color, can hold leaves late. Bark on young branches hispid, brown. No serious diseases. Native to Eastern Asia. Use as a specimen or shrub border.
