Spring Meadow Nursery, based in Grand Haven, Michigan, is a nationally recognized wholesale grower known for its broad selection of woody ornamental liners. While the nursery is best known as the exclusive shrub supplier for the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® brand, it also develops and introduces its own proprietary cultivars outside of the Proven Winners® label. Spring Meadow Plant Trials at Boone County Arboretum

Boone County Arboretum is a trial site for newly released plants from Spring Meadow Nursery. This includes shrubs they grow under the Proven Winners® program (listed on a different page), as well as Spring Meadow's own independent releases. These trials focus on evaluating the various cultivars under real-world conditions to assess growth habit, flowering, hardiness, and regional adaptability. Plants are monitored over multiple growing seasons to provide performance data that supports future release decisions. This partnership enhances the nursery’s testing network while reinforcing the Arboretum’s role in promoting horticultural excellence through plant evaluation and education.
