Fruit - Cones, oblong – ovoid, 1.25-1.75" long, 0.5-0.75" wide pendant cinnamon brown at maturity.

Bark - Thin, scaling off in platelets, coffee brown in color
Other Features - One of the most handsome of the Spruces, more graceful and refined than most. Silvery undersides of the needles give the tree beautiful ornamental appeal.

Care Requirements - Prefers a deep rich soil that is moist and well drained, tolerates air pollution; one of the most adaptable spruces.
Native Habitat - Southeastern Europe, Serbia confined to stands in limestone mountains on either side of the upper Drina.
Diseases and Insects - Subject to aphids, budworm and borers.
