Ornamental Characteristics:
Flower - The slightly fragrant, white, 0.3" diameter flowers are borne in 4-6" long, terminal, racemose panicles from July to August on current season's growth.
Fruit - Small capsules born in long terminal spikes, turn brown in fall.
Leaf - The leaves are dark green, arranged alternately. Tend to be clustered at the end of the branch, presenting a whorled appearance.
Fall Color - Bronze red to maroon, usually not showy.
Bark - Good looking bark, smooth gray to brown, sometimes exfoliating.
